In September of 2018, Centre for community Development and Research Network (CCDRN) carried out Community Based Participatory Planning exercise in Bade LGA of Yobe state.
The exercise which was carried out on behalf of the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) is a community level participatory exercise facilitated to identify needs and tailor programme responses to local requirements by ensuring prioritization and Project ownership by communities.
Through the CBPP exercise, CCDRN team placed the targeted communities at the driver’s seat of planning, while contributing to their own resilience building efforts and development.
This is coming ahead of full implementation of the livelihood component of WFP’s intervention to support vulnerable households across sixteen targeted communities in five wards of Bade LGA in a bid to restore and enhance their livelihood assets towards building resilience and recovery.
